There are a few different ways to create a jrn:
Tap the “Search” tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Then, in the “Search” box, type the username of the person you’re looking for.
Once you find them, tap the green plus button on the right side of its row to send a friend request.
Tap the menu icon in the bottom navigation bar.
For each request, tap the “accept” button on the right side of its row.
Go to the jrn that you want to add someone to by tapping it in your “jrns” tab then tap the “share” button just under the cover photo. Alternatively, you can tap the setting gear icon in right of the header and then tap “Sharing Settings”.
Here you’ll see a list of all your friends and the other people on the jrn. There are 3 different types of access on a jrn: view, add, or edit. Someone who has none of these boxes highlighted has NO ACCESS to the jrn
For example, in this screenshot the permissions for each user are:
Tap “done” and then “save” in the header bar at the top of the screen to save your changes.
Slideshows allow you to share the content from a jrn with people in a web browser.
Tap the jrn you want to create the slideshow for. Now tap the settings gear icon in the top right of the screen and then tap “Slideshow Settings”.
In the image below you can see where the slideshow screen allows you to:
Be sure to hit the “Save” button after making any changes. Changes are saved immediately without the need to save the jrn details on the previous page.
Note: To be able to edit a jrn, you need to be listed as an admin on that particular jrn.
From the “jrns” tab, tap any of your jrns to go into it. Then, tap the gear icon in the header bar. The settings page will then appear with all the options that you can modify about a jrn. Make any changes you’d like and then hit the “save” button in the top right of the screen. Hitting the cancel button will instead cancel any changes you made and return you to the jrn.
In the jrns tab, tap the “+” icon in the top left and then tap “Join using invite code”. Enter your invite code and tap the “join” button. The new jrn should show up in your “jrns” tab. If you don’t see it, pull down to refresh or scroll/search to see if it’s just not at the top of your list.
There are a couple different ways to add content:
From the “jrns” tab, tap any jrn to enter it. Then tap the circular blue “+” button in the bottom right of the screen.
Then choose which type of content you’d like to add. Once saved, the content will be automatically added to the jrn that you were in.
Alternatively, you can go to the “add” tab then choose which type of content you’d like to add. Once you fill in the required fields and hit “next >” in the top right, you’ll then have the ability to choose which jrn you’d like to add the content to.
When viewing a jrn, tap the three dots in the top right corner of any piece of content.
This will bring up a menu of the options that you have for that particular piece of content. If you are the creator of the content, you’ll be able to edit it by tapping “Edit details…”. If you don’t see this option, you don’t have permission to edit it. From this menu, you have other options like:
Tap into the “Comment” field at the bottom of any piece of content. Enter your comment and then tap the “Post” button to the right of the input.
Let someone know you like their post by double tapping any piece of content or taping the heart icon in the middle left of it to “like” it.
Go to your “jrns” tab and press and hold down on the jrn. This will bring up the options you have permission for on this jrn.
