WebApr 16, 2011 · Edit: To answer the OP's question, /NIN is the best all around support job for THF these days. /DNC has its uses (although personally I prefer Bloody Bolts + /NIN personally), but for most mobs /NIN will still beat it for survival, especially inside Abyssea. The same holds true if you have any kind of healer or support with you. WebThief isn’t so much a thief as it is an assassin. Nothing about it is very thief-like, except for two job ability's called Steal (It has a five-minute cool-down timer and rarely ever steals anything, If it does it usually sucks anyway.) and Mug which can steal a nice amount of Gil from NM's and such. I failed 3 times with Skeleton keys at LV55 going for my AF Vest in Zvahl Bailey's. Fortunately they were simply fails w/o mimic or weak, so the chest remained.
