WebGo to the workbench and remove all the dirty water and purified water you already have stored there. Put it in a drawer or something nearby. Save all bottles for DW. You won't need any purified water since soup also provides hydration and Veggie Soup is superior to Noodle cups.

WebYou can go slay 100 raiders wandering around and get nothing, but go to a new settlement and build two things and you'll come back to a full grown farm, water in the settlement inventory and new settlers. Also others may be like myself and only want purified water as last step before bailing on settlement but you gotta do the work to get paid.
