I Fitted the bypass relay, wired to the Trailer module fuse in the bottom fusebox (F11 - it appears to be ignition controlled so not a 'constant' drain on the battery by the relay) and took the earthing point for the relay and towbar socket from the earthing point already there tucked behind the carpet.
